The BAGMEN Provide Live Music at the Horse Expo on May 11th from 12pm – 2pm

The BAGMEN are singer-songwriters who’ve been entertaining audiences of all ages and types in the Northern California for the past four years. Also known as Bob Greene and Gary Michael Weinberg, The BAGMEN write and perform a wide array of genres, including folk, rock, blues, country, and rock. Regardless of the genre, The BAGMEN are regionally recognized for two things—the power and potency of their lyrics and licks… and, the sheer joy with which they perform them. Their unique blend of urban-anthropological-folk-rock is peppered with a twist of comedic banter that always brings fans back.

As a solo artist, Bob Greene has performed for 30 years at local restaurants, elementary schools, Del Webb facilities, two state fairs, Elk Grove “Concert in the Park”, and numerous retirement homes. As a retired Air Force member, he has performed “God Bless the USA” at numerous military functions including the annual Viet Nam Memorial Day celebration at Capital Park”. Bob also appeared on local television and radio and composed parodies for a nationally acclaimed disc jockey.

As a solo artist, Gary Michael Weinberg has performed locally at outdoor venues such as Curtis Park’s “Music in the Park,” at clubs like Luna’s Café and The Naked Lounge, at the CSA Event Center in West Sacramento, and at a host of New Thought spiritual centers throughout Northern California. Nationally, he was the musical accompanist for the East Coast and London tour of the professional theatre company Iron Clad Agreement, whose tour included a performance at Lincoln Center.

Together, The BAGMEN perform both originals and cover tunes at fundraisers, fairs, wineries, and clubs, taking their independent love of music and creating a high-energy synthesis even greater than the sum of their individual parts.
